Steel production is not the best for the environment because the production process lets out Carbon monoxide: CO, sulfur oxygen: SOx, Nitric Oxide: NOx, and fine particulate matter PM2. They also let out pollution in the water. The good thing with steel is that it can be recycled and used again; it is a long-lasting material. You can also reuse old steel used, for example, in buildings.
